Commanders lied to religious soldiers violating Sabbath in operation against
outpost

Israel Radio military correspondent Carmela Menashe reported this evening
that commanders told religious soldiers that the Chief Rabbi of the IDF had
approved activity in violation of the Sabbath associated with an operation
to evacuate Gilad Farm but that the Chief Rabbi of the IDF had not approved
the operation.

The religious soldiers are furious that, in violation of the rules of the
IDF, they were tricked into violating the Sabbath for an operation that was
not a "life saving operation".
