Prince Khalid bin Sultan stresses Saudi forces' preparedness

Riyadh, March 15, SPA(Saudi Press Agency) -- Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin
Abdulaziz, the Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector
General for Military Affairs, has stressed Saudi Forces' preparedness for
the protection of the country's security.

In a press statement following the inaugural ceremony of Prince Sultan
Second International Prize for Memorization of the Holy Quran for
Servicemen, Prince Khalid affirmed that no airport in the Kingdom will be
closed except Arar airport, the one that was announced by Prince Sultan bin
Abdulaziz for receiving refugees.

On voluntary reception of refugees, he pointed out that there are plans and
studies with the United Nations and General Commission for refugees, adding
that every concerned authority has a share in planning for this issue.

Replying to a question on the Shield Peninsula Forces' rejection to be under
U.S. command, Prince Khalid said, Saudi armed forces are led by Saudi
leadership and anyone says otherwise or casts doubt on that will be a
