Arab sermons: O God, destroy Zionists and Americans

YEMEN:

Sanaa Republic of Yemen Television in Arabic, official television station of
the Republic of Yemen, at 0906 GMT carries a 32-minute live sermon from the
Grand Mosque in Sanaa.

Shaykh Akram Abd-al-Razzaq al-Ruqayhi delivers the sermon. He praises God,
the messenger, and his companions and calls on Muslims to obey God under all
circumstances. The imam also urges Muslims to help Palestinians "protect
themselves and their sanctities, which the brothers of monkeys and the sons
of pigs are desecrating." He also calls on Muslims "not to raise slogans at
mosques." The imam devotes his sermon to Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, help our weak brothers in
Palestine and Iraq overcome their ordeal and score victory over their
enemies. O God, destroy Islam's enemies. O God, destroy Zionists and
Americans, shake the ground under them, instill fear into their hearts, and
freeze blood in their veins."

JORDAN:

Amman Jordan Television Channel 1 in Arabic, official television station of
the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, at 0945 GMT carries a 21-minute live sermon
from martyr King Abdallah mosque in Amman.

Shaykh Muhammad al-Qudah delivers the sermon. He praises God, the messenger,
and his companions and urges Muslims to obey God and follow his orders. The
imam devotes almost all his sermon to Prophet Muhammad's birthday and the
lessons to be derived from that occasion, urging the Jordanian people to
stick to Islam, to their homeland, and to their leadership.

Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, help the mujahidin of Muhammad's
nation everywhere score victory. O God, help them score victory over their
enemies. O God, give success to the Jordanian monarch."

SYRIA:

Damascus Syrian Arab Republic Radio in Arabic, official station of the
Syrian Government, at 0950 GMT carries a 39-minute live sermon from Anas
Bin-Malik Mosque in Damascus.

Shaykh Ziyad al-Ayyubi delivers the sermon. He praises God, the messenger,
and his companions. Marking Prophet Muhammad's birthday, the imam says that
the Islamic nation is in dire need of the messenger's way of living. The
imam then regrets the fact that "We are lost, our countries are occupied,
our sanctities are harmed, our wealth is plundered, and our people do not
know what to do." Assailing Israel, the Imam says: "The Zionist enemy, whose
interests are now in line with those of the New World Order, rejects
international legitimacy, uses the world to achieve its interests, concocts
conspiracies, and strikes and threatens other countries."

Praising the Syrian president, the Imam says that President Bashar al-Asad
has always worked to unite Arabs and to promote development and
modernization in order to revitalize the nation.

Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, unite Arabs and help them score
victory over their enemies and liberate Jerusalem. O God, give success to
President Bashar al-Asad in the service of the country and the people. O
God, unite Arab and Muslim leaders."

IRAQ:

Media sources covered by FBIS are not observed to broadcast Iraq's Friday
sermon.

QATAR:

Doha Qatar Television Service in Arabic, official television station of the
State of Qatar, at 0837 GMT carries a 42-minute live sermon from Umar
Bin-al-Khattab Mosque in Doha.

An unidentified shaykh delivers the sermon. He praises God, the messenger,
and his companions and regrets the fact that the Islamic nation "lives in
frustration and despair, while its infidel enemy makes progress." The imam
devotes his sermon to Islam's justice and the need for Muslims to return to
God, work hard, and close their ranks.

Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, destroy the soldiers of those
occupying our land and encroaching on our dignity. O God, destroy their
forcers, drown their fleets, and protect us from them."
