Chemical Agents Arsenal Explosive uncovered in Nablus

Last night, (October 18th, 2003) IDF forces uncovered an arsenal of chemical
materials for making explosive devices. IDF Sappers detonated the explosive
materials in a controlled manner.

Last night an Israeli citizen was lightly wounded when fire was opened at
his vehicle near Yabed (west of Jenin) During searches in Rafah (southern
Gaza Strip), IDF forces siezed three mortars located in a building. The
explosive devices were detonated in a controlled manner by IDF sappers.

Terrorists opened fire and hurled molotov cocktails.at IDF forces in
Tulkarem. IDF forces returned fire and identified a terrorist being hit. No
injuries or damage reported.

Yesturday morning (October 18, 2003) terrorsits opened fire at an IDF
position along the Israel-Egypt border, near Rafah. No injuries or damage
reported.

During the departure of IDF forces from Rafah, IDF forces identified a cell
of five armed Palestinians that were planning to detonate an explosive
device. IDF forces opened fire at the armed Palestinians, and identified a
hit. During the operation, terrorists opned fire, hurled grenades and
detonated explosive devices against IDF forces.

In addition, IDF forces arrested last night a Fatah operative in Balota
(Nablus) In Harbata (north west of Ramallah) IDF forces arresred 2 wanted
Hamas operatives. Three addtional wanted terrorists were arrested, including
two Hamas operatives and an Islamic Jihad operative, in Idna. (west of
Hebron)
