Palestinian Poll 50.2% Wouldn't Leave Country For House, Job & $250,000

A New Palestinian Poll :

59.4% of the Palestinians believe that Israel should provide more medical
services to the Palestinians.

50.2% don't like to move to another country.

30.6% believe that their major concern at present is job / money.

A survey of the Palestinian public opinion is recently conducted by the
Palestinian center for public opinion (PCPO). The poll, being directed by
PCPO-president Dr.Nabil Kukali, included a random sample of 705 Palestinian
adults, 18 years and older from West Bank including East Jerusalem. The
sampling error for a sample of this size is about (3.7%) in each direction.

The poll indicated that (59.4%) of the Palestinians believe that Israel
should provide more medical services to the Palestinians, while (30.7%)
oppose and (9.9%) abstained from answering.

President of the PCPO, Dr. Nabil Kukali, stated that the survey was
conducted between 21-25 January 2004, and the Interviews took place in
houses and face-to-face.

Dr. Kukali stated that the results of this poll are very important and play
a big role in showing the positive aspects of the cooperation in
humanitarian issues between the Palestinians and the Israelis and the fields
which require more care and attention as well.

"There are", said Dr. Kukali, "an immense number of anonymous peace lovers,
who dedicate themselves to work for humanitarian issues in order to
stabilize peace in this region. I would like here to express to these people
my deepest respect and appreciation for their sincere efforts".

Kukali also stated that the percentage of female respondents was (48. 2%)
while that of the male ones was (51.8%) He also explained that the
respondent's location of residence was as follows :(50.4%) city, (37.4%)
village, and (12.2%) refugee camp. He pointed out to the average size of
respondents' families that was (7. 3) persons.

Dr.Kukali said the results of the poll were as follows:
