A poll carried out by the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion (PCPO) and
Prepared by President
Dr.Nabil Kukali.

(57.2) Support to varying degree president Arafat.
(74.4) Evaluate the general economic conditions in the
Palestinian territories as bad.
(72.7) Worried to varying degrees about their means of
subsistence.
(74.1 %) Believe that the PA is incapable of creating job
opportunities for the Palestinians, who were working in
Israel.
(50 %) are pessimistic about the future.
(49.6 %) support the continuation of Al-Aqsa Intifada, while
(42.0 %) call for its halt.

A poll recently conducted by the PCPO and prepared by Dr. Nabil Kukali
included a random sample of (570) Palestinian adults, 18 years and older,
from the Palestinian territories.

The poll reveals that ( 61.7 % ) of Palestinians evaluate the general
economic conditions in the Palestinian territories as bad. (57.2 %) support
to varying degree president Arafat. President of the PCPO, Dr. Nabil Kukali,
stated that the poll took place from 11th to15th of October 2004 and the
average age of the respondents was (31.5) years. The margin of error was
(4.1+/-) percent points.

Dr. Kukali also stated that the percentage of female respondents was (47.9
%), while that of the male ones (52.1 %). He pointed out that the average
size of the respondents' families was (7.2) persons.

Dr. Kukali said the results of the poll were as follows:
