Poll: 67% Happy Bush won, 20.5% Halt disengagement if Arafat out, 46.5%
Netanyahu will fold

The following is IMRA's translation of results of a telephone poll of 502
adult Israelis (including Israeli Arabs) and 468 Likud members carried out
by Shvakim Panorama for Israel Radio's "Another Matter" program on 3
November 2004 that is presented on the website of the radio station.

What do you think will happen regarding the ultimatum that Binyamin
Netanyahu gave to Ariel Sharon about national referendum? The Binyamin
Netanyahu will resign from the government if Sharon does not agree to having
a national referendum, or Netanyahu will drop his ultimatum and not resign
from the government or that Ariel Sharon will accept Netanyahu's demand and
go for national referendum:

Likud members: Resign 32.0% Drop ultimatum 38.5% Sharon agrees 17.6% Other

Did ministers Naveh, Katz and Livnat do the right thing when they decided to
drop the ultimatum that had been presented to the prime minister regarding
having a national referendum on the disengagement plan?

to political life. Do you support Ehud Barak's intentions to become the
leader of the Labor Party?

What should the prime minister do if it turns out that Arafat has left the
international arena? Continue to carry out the disengagement plan exactly
according to the plan, stop the disengagement process and return to
negotiations with the Palestinians or continue the disengagement plan while
trying to gain cooperation from the Palestinian side?
