Shabak detains Netivot City Councilman During DM Mofaz's Visit

Correspondent Danny Shalom reports in today's edition of Hazofe that two
Shabak (ISS) agents ordered Likud Central Committee member and Netivot
Municipal Councilman Chaim Shalom not to leave a room in the offices of the
municipality during the course of a half hour visit by Minister of Defense
(Likud) Shaul Mofaz.

A spokesperson for the Shabak explained to the Danny Shalom that "we had
received information that Mr. Shalom planned to interfere during the course
of the meeting between municipal officials and Minister Mofaz and in light
of this it was brought to the attention of the police. Mr. Shalom was not
imprisoned by the Shabak guards."
