PLO Reiterates on US Political Guarantees

RAMALLAH, May 24, 2005, (WAFA-PLO news agency)- The Executive Committee (EC)
of the PLO reiterated on the importance of the US political guarantees to
end colonization and the construction of the Wall as well as an obvious
timetable to resume the final-status negotiations and implementing the Road
Map plan.

During its Monday meeting, headed by President Abbas in Ramallah, the EC
asserted the importance of the visit of President Mahmoud Abbas to the USA
and his forthcoming meeting with President George W. Bush.

It said that President's meeting with President Bush is very important
especially it comes after truce.

The EC affirmed that the circumstances are so suitable for implementing of
the two-states solution based on President Bush's vision. It addedthat such
circumstances are suitable for resuming the final status negotiations and
ending the construction of the Israeli colonies and the Apartheid Wall
inside the Palestinian lands.

The EC concluded its meeting by reiterating that peace and security is too
difficult to be achieved while the colonies and the Wall devour Palestinian
land.
