PA Min. Nabil Sha'at to IMRA: Peretz's 'dreams' are out of the question

IMRA interviewed Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister and Information Minister
Nabil Shaath.today in English after Labor Party chairman Amir Peretz
delivered his speech to the Labor Party Central Committee:

IMRA: Amir Peretz just told the Labor Party Central Committee that "I
support a strong and unified Jerusalem as Israel's capital for eternity"
Peretz also mentioned Maaleh Adumin as an Israeli town.

Shaath: Eastern Jerusalem is Palestinian and the final borders will be set
by negotiations. Now he is talking about his dreams and wishes and that
doesn't matter.

IMRA: Is it conceivable for the outcome of negotiations to be a unified
Jerusalem as Israel's capital?

Shaath: Peace is only possible when justice is done and agreements are
respected.

IMRA: Is it possible to reach peace and have a unified Jerusalem as Israel's
capital?

Shaath: It is out of the question.
