Palestinian Officer Calls for National Unity

DAMASCUS, (SANA- Syrian News Agency)-

Chief of Staff of the Palestinian Liberation Army called on Saturday
Palestinians to boost their national unity and miss the chance before
everyone who wants to get at their unity and instigate sedition aimed to
avert their aim of liberating land and restoring rights.

Brigadier General Mohammed Tarq al-Khadra, said in a speech during a visit
to the Palestinian forces on Eid al-Adha that the Palestinian people will
remain steadfast whatever challenges and difficulties are facing them,
underlining this people will not accept but the establishment of an
independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Khadra added that resistance has proved to be the correct road to liberate
the land and restore the legal rights, pointing out to victory of the
Lebanese national resistance against the Israeli brutal aggression last
July, and the defeat of Israeli forces in 2000 by liberating southern
Lebanon.

Talking about the situation in the Arab region, Khadra pointed out to the
firm and principled stances of Syria over all issues mainly the Palestinian
cause asserting that time will prove the correctness of the Syrian vision
under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.

He earlier visited martyrs cemeteries in Damascus countryside and put a
wreath of flowers over the martyrs monument as music played the martyrs tune
and farewell
