NYC:TISHA B'AV PRAYER SERVICE FOR ISRAEL & JEWS IN DANGER WORLDWIDE

TISHA B'AV PRAYER SERVICE FOR ISRAEL & JEWS IN DANGER WORLDWIDE
TUESDAY, JULY 24TH - 2 PM

ISAIAH PEACE WALL - FIRST AVENUE & 43RD STREET, OPPOSITE THE UNITED NATIONS

Israel is again threatened by hate-filled terrorists, from Hamas to
Hizbollah. Iran vows to liquidate Israel. Syria is moving troops next to
the Golan. Israel's kidnapped soldiers remain captive. Europe's Jews face
rising anti-semtism from Moslem extremists. The many acts of anti-Semitism
in the former USSR remain unchecked. Thousands of Jews remain in Ethiopia
under dire conditions, unable to reach Israel.

Join our annual Tisha B'Av outdoor prayer service for Jewish
communities in danger at the dramatic Isaiah Peace Wall opposite the UN. It
is a traditional mincha, complete with Torah reading.

Since we began our outdoor prayer service 30 years ago, thousands
have found participation to be a most meaningful way to observe the Tisha B'Av
fast. Prayers will be led by Rabbi Avi Weiss, national president of
Amcha-Coalition for Jewish Concerns. Please bring your prayer book; men are
encouraged to bring tallis and tefilin.

Coordinated by Amcha-Coalition for Jewish Concerns, 3700 Henry Hudson
Parkway, Riverdale, NY 10463, along with Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry.
