France not supplying anti-tank missiles to Lebanon

Israel Radio reports today that according to the Lebanese newspaper, As
Safir, France has backed down from its promise to supply 100 anti-tank
missiles for helicopters of the Lebanese army.

A Lebanese source told the newspaper that American pressure apparently cased
the change in mind in Paris. He noted that the Americans put pressure on
France after the shooting incident on the Lebanon-Israel border last month.
