DM Barak Meets with Swiss DM Maurer

Defense Minister Ehud Barak today (Thursday), 26.1.12, at the World Economic
Forum in Davos, met with Swiss Defense Minister Ueli Maurer. The two men
discussed a host of regional issues, including the ongoing crisis in Syria,
the situation in Lebanon, the attempt to renew the talks with the
Palestinians and the Iranian issue.

Defense Minister Barak praised the recent European decision to tighten
sanctions on Iran and noted the importance of US and EU pressure on Iran.
He and his Swiss counterpart also discussed the expansion of bilateral
security cooperation.
