Cabinet Decision on Increasing Participation in the Labor Force and the Rate
of Employment

The Cabinet today (Sunday), 29.1.12, in the framework of actions to
encourage participation in the labor force and the rate of employment,
decided that enforcement regarding working conditions will concentrate on
violations carried out by those who employ workers at low wages, including
by service contractors and those who employ foreign workers.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that, "This is a very important
decision. The major problem is infringing on the labor rights of weaker
groups, including those earning minimum wage. Since this is the main
problem, this is where we will act and this is where we will bring about
solution."

Prime Minister Netanyahu called on workers who feel that their rights have
been violated to contact the special Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry
switchboard that deals with the
issue.
