Ramallah 10/21/2012 (WAFA - Official PLO news agency) - President Mahmoud
Abbas received, in the presidential headquarters in Ramallah on Sunday, a
delegation of Israeli politicians and former security officials.

The delegation included Israeli: Ephraim Sneh, and Shlomo Gazit, and Eval
Giladi, and Ophir Penny, and Baron Bundk, while the meeting was attended by
the Palestinian side: Secretary of the Executive Committee of the PLO,
Yasser Abed Rabbo, a member of the Executive Committee Saeb Erekat, head of
the Preventive Security Service Maj. Gen. Ziad Hab wind .

The President briefed the Israeli delegation on the latest developments in
the peace process, and Palestinian efforts to gain membership is a full
member state as an observer in the General Assembly of the United Nations.

He stressed that the Palestinian attitude came after the stalemate in the
peace process and the failure of all efforts to resume the peace process by
Israel's insistence on continuing settlement activities in the Occupied
Palestinian, which seriously threatens the possibility of a two-state
solution on the ground and backed by all countries of the world.

In turn, number of speakers stressed the Israelis on the need to adhere to
the principle of a two-state solution, in order to achieve security and
stability in the region.
