In light of the devastation the Hurricane Sandy has wrought on the East
Coast of the United Sates, the IDF has begun making it’s own adjustments.
The IDF’s social workers have issued a special announcement to help soldiers
who were in the United States and found themselves grounded due to the
Hurricane.
According to the command, soldiers returning after their arranged vacation
has expired will not have to sign additional vacation days, but will receive
a special exception that extends their leave until they are able to return.
Hurricane Sandy, which made landfall in New Jersey earlier this week, has
cancelled approximately 14,000 flights either leaving from or en route to
New York. So far, the storm is responsible for more than 120 deaths. By
initial estimates, the storm is considered one of the five most destructive
hurricanes of all time.
