TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Palestinian politician lambasted Arab states for
keeping mum about the Israeli aggressions on Gaza, and said that their
behavior shows their complicity in the Zionist regime's atrocities.

"The silence of the Arab countries on the Israeli aggressions shows their
complicity against the Palestinians and it is also indicative of the extent
of the incapability of some Arab regimes in adopting a plan for helping the
Gaza Strip's people who are being massacred in front of the eyes of the
international community," Secretary General for Palestinian Popular Struggle
Front Khaled Abd al-Majid told FNA in Gaza on Monday.

In similar remarks on Saturday, Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour
called on Arab nations to adopt tough political and economic measures
against Israel in reaction to the Zionist regime's assault on the Gaza
Strip.

"The Arab countries must freeze their contacts, withdraw their ambassadors
and suspend agreements with Israel," Mansour said during an Arab Foreign
Ministers' emergency meeting to discuss the situation in Gaza at the
headquarter of the Arab League in Cairo.

He said Arab countries need to demonstrate strong diplomatic resolve in
support of the Palestinians in Gaza.

Mansour pointed out that "the Palestinian people are demanding the Arabs to
courageously stand against the assault".

"The Israelis must be prosecuted in international courts for committing war
crimes against Palestinians," Mansour added.

Over 70 Palestinians have been killed and more than 580 others injured in
the new wave of Israeli aggressions against the Gaza Strip since Wednesday.

Israel triggered the current fighting by assassinating the military chief of
the ruling Hamas group on Wednesday followed by dozens of airstrikes on
Gaza.
