TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Palestinian Prime
Minister Ismail Haniya in a telephone conversation on Saturday conferred on
the latest developments in the Palestinian territories after the victory of
resistance groups in the 8-day Israeli-imposed war on Gaza.

During the phone talk, Ahmadinejad said on that Zionists have no option but
officially recognizing absolute rights of the Palestinian nation, praising
resistance and perseverance of the Gaza people and their repeated victory
over Zionists.

"Zionists have reached the dead point and have no other alternative but
officially recognizing and bowing to the absolute right of the Palestinian
nation," he added.

Ahmadinejad noted that the Iranian nation prays for victory of the
Palestinian nation and all the faithful and justice seekers. "We hope that
in light of endeavors and efforts of all the faithful and the reformers the
noble Qods will be liberated and justice would govern over whole the
universe."

He emphasized that the path to dignity and prosperity and freedom of all
Palestinians is the one chosen by the people of Gaza and resistance today.

He also voiced sympathy with the families of the victims of recent Zionist
enemy's aggression.

He wished health and recovery for all those disabled in the wake of the
invasions.

Haniya, for his part, thanked great Iranian government and nation for
supporting Palestinians, and said the Gaza and Palestinian people owe their
resistance against brutal aggression of the Zionist regime to supports of
the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"We and the Resistance side the Palestinian people, adhering to their
principles and never being ready to withdraw our principled stances and
overlook al-Aqsa Mosque," he said.

The phone talk came after the Zionist regime of Israel and Hamas agreed on a
ceasefire on Wednesday after eight days of intensive war over the Gaza
Strip.

Under the deal, the Palestinians and Israelis agreed to end all hostilities
against each other.

The ceasefire was implemented after Israel launched a deadly offensive on
the blockaded Gaza Strip on November 14, which killed more than 1605
Palestinians and injured some 1,269 others.

In retaliation, Palestinian resistance fighters fired rockets and missiles
into the Israeli cities.
