TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Permanent Representative to the International Atomic
Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali Asqar Soltaniyeh said Tehran's nuclear experts have
reached self-sufficiently in manufacturing centrifuge machines for the
country's nuclear enrichment facilities.

Soltaniyeh's remarks were made in an interview with Iran's Arabic-language
news network Al-Alam on Monday.

Soltaniyeh said that Iran has "fully mastered" the nuclear energy technology
and can produce all the 90 pieces of a centrifuge machine on its own and
without foreign assistance.

In mid-August, Iranian Deputy Health Minister for Research and Technology
Mostafa Qaneyee announced that the country plans to build centrifuges for
producing biotechnological products.

"The centrifuge machine is needed for producing medicines and
biotechnological products, but they (the western countries) do not provide
us with the machine due to the sanctions (imposed against Tehran)," Qaneyee
who is also the head of Iran's Pasteur Institute, told FNA.

"We extremely need it (the centrifuge machine) for producing new
biotechnological products, and accordingly building such national centrifuge
machines has come on our agenda," he added.
