Poll: Shas and Hatnua voters want to join coalition at all cost
Dr. Aaron Lerner Date 25 February 2013
While the party leaders do not necessarily follow the views of their voters,
it is most interesting to note at this juncture that those who voted for
Shas would essentially like Shas to join the coalition at all cost. By the
same token, it appears that most of the people who voted for Livni would
support the party remaining in the coalition even if she ends up with a
different role in the government.
The survey was commissioned by The Orly & Guy Morning Program - Channel 10
TV and conducted by telephone on 24 February 2013 of a sample of 501
respondents, constituting a representative sample of Israel's adult
population (aged 18 and over - including Israeli Arabs).
What do you prefer that the party you voted for do with regard to the
negotiations for the formation of the government:
(a) Compromise and enter the coalition
(b) Stand on principles even at the cost of sitting in the opposition
