France welcomes the entry into force of a cease-fire in Gaza.

It urges the parties to respect and to continue discussions under the
auspices of Egypt to achieve a sustainable solution, meeting the
requirements of lifting the blockade on Gaza and Israel's security.

France, in coordination with its European partners and within the Security
Council, is committed to contribute to solutions to be found through such an
agreement.

Finally, France recalls the necessity and urgency of reviving a political
process to provide a definitive solution to the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict, including the known general parameters.
