The Palestinian terrorists who have killed several Israelis during the last
few weeks in Jerusalem are being presented as heroes by both the Palestinian
Authority and Fatah.

On official PA TV, Fatah official Muhammad Al-Biqa'i from Lebanon sent
blessings of "praise and esteem" to Al-Shaloudi (terrorist who killed 2),
Mutaz (terrorist who attempted to murder Rabbi Yehuda Glick) and Ibrahim
Al-Akari (terrorist who killed 2). He then honored the murderers for heeding
the call that "Jerusalem needs blood to purify itself of Jews":

"They are the ones who heard the call of Yasser Arafat, while the Arab and
Islamic nation ignored his call: 'Millions of Martyrs (Shahids) are marching
to Jerusalem'. They came out with their weapons, with their true belief that
Jerusalem needs blood to purify itself of Jews."

Two days ago, representative of the PA Ministry of Religious Affairs Hassan
Al-Saifi, made a similar statement in a speech where he "addressed the
suffering of the residents of Jerusalem and the continuing Israeli
desecration of Al-Aqsa" and declared "that Jerusalem has no need of
declarations or religious rulings, but rather needs the religious scholars
in particular to fulfill their duty, rush to Jerusalem and offer sacrifices
and blood." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 14, 2014]

Such statements show that the PA and Fatah - both headed by Mahmoud Abbas -
have successfully demonized Jews and presented them as a great threat to
Jerusalem and to its Muslim holy sites, as has been documented by
Palestinian Media Watch.

Last week, on a PA TV game show, the host opened the show by specifically
honoring two terrorists who together have killed 4 and wounded dozens by
running pedestrians over with their cars, as well as the terrorist who
attempted to murder Rabbi Yehuda Glick. The host praised them for
"confronting the settler herds" and for "what you gave and sacrificed":

"Greetings and honor to our heroic Martyrs, the Martyrs of Jerusalem -
Hijazi (terrorist who attempted to murder Rabbi Yehuda Glick), Al-Shaloudi
(terrorist who killed 2), Al-Akari (terrorist who killed 2), and lately also
Kheir Al-Din Hamdan from Kafr Kanna (Palestinian man shot to death by
Israeli police). Our greetings to the Martyrs' families. We stand submissive
and humbled in view of what you gave and sacrificed. You are confronting the
ever-aggressive settler herds in the streets of Jerusalem."

The following are longer excerpts of the statements and reports on official
PA TV and in the official PA daily:

"Many religious scholars and clerics have emphasized the importance of
revitalizing and uniting the efforts and means on the local, regional and
international levels for Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa [compound], and to
protect it [Al-Aqsa] from the occupation. In addition, they noted that the
defense of Jerusalem would not be carried out with declarations,
announcements and the publication of religious rulings (Fatwas), but by
rushing towards Al-Aqsa and through sacrifice. These statements were made at
a conference for Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa held yesterday [Nov. 13, 2014] by the
Ministry of Religious Affairs [in the Gaza Strip], under the patronage of
[PA] Minister of Religious Affairs Yusuf Ida'is and with the participation
of numerous religious scholars, clerics and public personalities.

Ministry of Religious Affairs representative Hassan Al-Saifi gave a speech
in which he addressed the suffering of the residents of Jerusalem and the
continuing Israeli desecration of Al-Aqsa. In addition, he noted that
Jerusalem has no need of declarations or religious rulings, but rather needs
the religious scholars in particular to fulfill their duty, rush to
Jerusalem and offer sacrifices and blood. In addition, he called on the
religious scholars to remove their turbans, be present on the ground, and
revitalize the role of the youth in defending Al-Aqsa."

[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 14, 2014]

Official PA TV program Free Space:

Muhammad Al- Biqa'i, Head of Media Department for Fatah in Lebanon:

"A blessing of praise and esteem to Muhammad Abu Khdeir (murdered
Palestinian boy), Al-Shaloudi (terrorist who killed 2), Sunuqrut
(Palestinian boy, shot to death during riots), Mutaz (terrorist who
attempted to murder Rabbi Yehuda Glick) and Ibrahim Al-Akari (terrorist who
killed 2). They are the ones who heard the call of Yasser Arafat, while the
Arab and Islamic nation ignored his call: 'Millions of Martyrs (Shahids) are
marching to Jerusalem'. They came out with their weapons, with their true
belief that Jerusalem needs blood to purify itself of Jews."

[Official PA TV, Jan. 25, 2014]

Official PA TV game show The Box:

PA TV host: "First, greetings, as always, to the heroic and brave children
of Jerusalem who these days are confronting the settler herds at the blessed
Al-Aqsa Mosque, in all the neighborhoods of the Old City and all the
neighborhoods outside of Jerusalem... Greetings and honor to our heroic
Martyrs, the Martyrs of Jerusalem - Hijazi (terrorist who attempted to
murder Rabbi Yehuda Glick), Al-Shaloudi (terrorist who killed 2), Al-Akari
(terrorist who killed 2), and lately also Kheir Al-Din Hamdan from Kafr
Kanna (Palestinian man shot to death by Israeli police). Our greetings to
the Martyrs' families. We stand submissive and humbled in view of what you
gave and sacrificed. You are confronting the ever-aggressive settler herds
in the streets of Jerusalem."

[Official PA TV, Nov. 9, 2014]

Mutaz Hijazi - Islamic Jihad member and released prisoner who attempted to
assassinate Rabbi Yehuda Glick, a prominent activist working to assure
rights for Jews to visit and pray on the Temple Mount, on Oct. 29, 2014. The
assassination attempt took place following a conference on establishing
times and places for Jews to pray on the Temple Mount. Glick was seriously
wounded in the attack; Hijazi was killed soon afterwards when he opened fire
on an Israeli police force that was attempting to arrest him.

Abd Al-Rahman Al-Shaloudi - On Oct. 22, 2014, Al-Shaloudi drove his car into
a light-rail station in Jerusalem, killing three-month-old Israeli-American
Haya Zissel-Brown and Karen Mosquera, 22, of Ecuador, and injuring 7 others.
He was shot by police while attempting to flee the scene, and later died of
his wounds.

Ibrahim Al-Akari - Hamas terrorist from East Jerusalem who carried out a car
terror attack on Nov 5, 2014 at a light-rail station in Jerusalem, killing
two and injuring at least 13 others. He was shot and killed by Israeli
police officers who arrived on the scene.

Muhammad Abu Khdeir - Palestinian teen kidnapped and murdered by Israeli
extremists in Jerusalem on July 2, 2014, in revenge for the kidnapping and
murder of Israeli teens Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaar and Naftali Frenkel in the
West Bank on June 12. Following Abu Khdeir's murder, Palestinians took to
the streets of East Jerusalem in violent and continuous protests. Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli ministers immediately
condemned the killing in the strongest terms. Israeli police arrested six
Israeli suspects on July 6th; under interrogation, three of the suspects
confessed to murdering Khdeir.

Muhammad Sunuqrut - a 16-year-old Palestinian killed during a riot in
Jerusalem in 2014.

Kheir Al-Din Hamdan - 22-year-old Israeli Arab man shot to death by Israeli
Police on Nov. 8, 2014 in the Arab-Israeli town of Kafr Kanna. Police claim
that Hamdan was shot after attempting to stab an officer, but a surveillance
recording shows Hamdan hitting the windows of a police car with a knife, and
then being shot by a police officer while running away. Hamdan later died of
his wounds. The Israeli attorney general has ordered an investigation of the
incident, which provoked large-scale rioting in Kafr Kanna.
