SUBJECT:ISIS ‘prince’ killed
QUOTE:”The prince of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Iraq’s
Anbar governorate was reportedly killed Wednesday by an airstrike.”

FULL TEXT:An air strike in west Iraq reportedly killed on Wednesday[26 Nov.]
a senior figure in the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Al Arabiya’s
correspondent reported.

Senan Meteeb, the so-called ISIS “emir” of the western Anbar province, was
reportedly killed by a coalition air raid in the Anbar city of Hit.
Twenty-four other ISIS fighters were also reportedly killed.

The reported killing of Meteeb comes a day after Islamist militants shot
dead 25 people from the Albunimr tribe in Anbar. The militant group has
killed hundreds from the tribe.

The United States is planning to arm the Sunni tribesmen in Anbar to help
bolster the battle against ISIS in the Sunni stronghold.

Tribal fighters in Anbar, whose cooperation with the Shiite-dominated state
is seen as key to defeating ISIS, have been demanding more air support from
Baghdad and the U.S.-led international coalition.

Shiite militias and Kurdish Peshmerga, backed by U.S.-led air strikes since
August, have helped contain the radical Sunni insurgents and pushed them
back in some provinces.

But the militant group has continued to make gains in Anbar.

‘insults to Parliament”

SUBJECT: Israeli Ambasador to Jordan criticised the House

QUOTE:”Nevo reportedly slammed lawmakers…after the MPs recited the Koran as
a gesture of tribute to the two Palestinian youths who attacked a Jerusalem
synagogue[murdering 4 rabbis] and were killed in the process”

FULL TEXT:AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday[25 Nov.] it has
summoned Israeli Ambassador to Jordan Daniel Nevo, protesting statements he
had made to the media criticising the House and triggering a furious
response from lawmakers.

The ministry informed Nevo of its utter condemnation of his remarks, one
day after Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and acting
Foreign Minister Mohammad Momani said the government was verifying media
reports quoting him and would “not remain silent” in case it turned out that
he had made the provocative statements.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ashraf Khasawneh said in a statement made
available to The Jordan Times that the ministry expressed its rejection of
the ambassador’s conduct and the “content and style” of his “unjustifiable”
remarks.

Nevo reportedly slammed lawmakers in an interview with Israel Army Radio
after the MPs recited the Koran as a gesture of tribute to the two
Palestinian youths who recently attacked a Jerusalem synagogue and were
killed in the process.

He was also quoted as saying that Jordanians believe that MPs are "only
concerned with trivial things and concerned about their personal interests",
adding that the message the deputies wanted to send by their act was not
only directed to Israel, but also to the Royal Court to show they have a
different stance than the state towards Israel.

Khasawneh reiterated that Nevo’s statements are a blatant violation to
diplomatic norms and crossed the limits of politically correct behaviour
observed by countries and governments, adding that the diplomat has to
respect all state institutions and commit to diplomatic norms.

Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on
Monday[24 Nov.] that “the government should make an apt response to the
diplomat’s remarks”, which he said are deemed "flagrant" interference in
Jordan’s affairs.

QUOTE :”promoting the role of partnerships and collective action in tackling
regional and global challenges

RIYADH — The King Khalid Foundation is partnering with the Bill & Melinda
Gates Foundation to initiate multiple programs between the two organizations
aimed at building the capacity of the philanthropic sector in the Kingdom as
well as promoting the role of partnerships and collective action in tackling
regional and global challenges.

The partnership will begin with a series of meetings and professional
exchanges to be held in the coming period attended by leaders from KKF and
other Saudi foundations as well as key figures from the Bill & Melinda Gates
Foundation in order to exchange expertise, share leading practices and
discuss the role of philanthropic institutions in advancing development.

Additional programs will be developed throughout 2015. The agreement was
endorsed by Princess Banderi Bint Abdul Rahman Al-Faisal, director general
of the King Khalid Foundation, and by Joe Cerrell and Hassan Al-Damluji,
managing director and head of Middle East relations of the Bill & Melinda
Gates Foundation respectively.

Princess Banderi described the partnership as a “quantum leap” in the level
of strategic partnerships involving the Kingdom’s philanthropic
organizations, in which both parties are able to work together to find
innovative solutions to the challenges facing the philanthropic and
development sectors in the Kingdom. She said: “By doing so we hope to build
strong, effective and transparent organizations capable of improving the
social and economic wellbeing of Saudi citizens.”

Princess Banderi also pointed out that this partnership is the first of its
kind between any institution in the Arab world and the Bill & Melinda Gates
Foundation, with the focus on strengthening practices in the Saudi
non-profit sector.

Cerrell described the collaboration as an integral part of the foundation’s
commitment to supporting partners in Saudi Arabia.

He said: “It’s great to see that the Kingdom is going to such efforts to
build its philanthropic sector.

“We are happy to share the expertise we have developed over more than a
decade of working to improve the quality of life for the world’s poorest,
because we know the power of Saudi Arabia’s generosity to help people all
over the world.”

Al-Damluji said: “This partnership is important because the King Khalid
Foundation will help us to identify and strengthen some of the most
impactful charitable organizations in Saudi Arabia. “Both sides have a lot
to learn from each other and we are very pleased to be working together.”

Pipeline”, Agence France Presse

SUBJECT: Yemen main oil pipeline blown up

QUOTE:” Armed tribesmen blew upYemen’s main oil pipeline. . .halting flow to
the export terminal on the Red Sea coast”

FULL TEXT:Armed tribesmen blew up Yemen's main oil pipeline on Wednesday
halting the flow to the export terminal on the Red Sea coast, tribal sources
and an industry official said.

The 435-kilometer (270-mile) pipeline, which links the Safir oil fields, in
Marib province, east of the capital, to the Ras Isa terminal, near the port
of Hodeida, has been a repeated target of sabotage.

The latest attack hit a section of pipeline in the Sarwah district of Marib,
tribal sources told Agence France Presse.

It brought the flow to a "complete halt", an industry official said.

The motive for the latest sabotage was not immediately clear.

But Yemen's heavily armed tribes frequently target oil and other
infrastructure in a bid to extract concessions from the central government.

Yemen is a minor producer but relies on oil and gas exports for 90 percent
of its foreign currency earnings.

Attacks on infrastructure cost the impoverished country $4.75 billion over
the two years from March 2011 to March 2013, according to government
figures.
