Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA: below are excerpts from the FaceBook of Economy
Minister Naftali Bennett as he describes his China trip.

Jewish Pride:

Today is the fifth day of my exhausting, wonderful and effective road trip
in China.

This morning we launched in the Fujian province, in southern China, a new
model agricultural farm of the Ministry of Economy.

It is amazing to watch how you can produce five times the amount from the
same quantity of water and soil.

I miss our amazing country and our wonderful people so much.

There is nothing like Israel.

When you are this far away, you look at all of the arguments and they just
seem petty.

Working Trip to China
**
I know that the political situation in Israel is still complicated, but we
must continue to grow our economy. The world is not waiting for us to solve
our internal disputes.
**
My working visit to China this time is focusing on the promotion of Israeli
companies in the field of water technology.
**
At the end of a long process, we chose the city of Shaoguan, with a
population of over a million people, as our pilot city for our flagship
‘Water City’ project.

Dozens of Israeli technology companies jumped all over the city's water
sector: production, conservation, measurement, recycling and more.

The goal is to create a model city and use it to continue to promote Israeli
companies in China.

China is funding this project.
**
I am here with a delegation of about 20 Israeli water companies (Mekorot,
Shtang, Arad, Amiad and others).

We arranged for each Israeli company dozens of business meetings with
potential Chinese customers, and throughout this trip business deals have
been sealed.
**
I ask that every Israeli company, no matter your field, who wants to break
into China’s market or Asia in general, contact our Foreign Trade
Administration at the Ministry of Economy. We will help you with devotion.

Our economic attaches are professional and attentive. Utilize them.
**
Good luck!

=====================.

When I was appointed Economy Minister I was told how the economic attaches
could help entrepreneurs break into new markets.
**
I didn’t buy it.

I couldn’t believe that a government institution could actually benefit the
private business sector.

As a former private sector CEO, I never once thought of asking the
government for help.
**
I was wrong.

Apparently, when it comes to complex markets, such as China and India, the
government really can help - and we are doing so successfully.
**
Yesterday on the train to Nanjing I met Razi.

His company is one of many that joined my delegation.

He told me it will only take one of the 20 meetings we set up for him during
this trip to work out for this to be a success.

He has already had a few successful meetings.
**
I want to thank all of our dedicated economic attaches around the world and
Ohad Cohen in particular for working day and night for the people of Israel.

Share and spread the word to Israeli entrepreneurs who are looking eastward:

Yesterday we opened a business center in Shanghai for Israeli companies. The
service you will receive here is very attentive and free of charge!
**
This is the first stop for companies that want to break into the Chinese
market.

I wish I had something like this when I was an entrepreneur - I'd be the
first person to take advantage!

===================
On Sunday we held an entrepreneurship conference for women of the Hassidic
Ger community in Arad.
**
We invited 400 women, yet over 500(!) attended the event.

"Maof", our small business helper, presented the women with all the tools we
have at our disposal to help entrepreneurs: courses, guidance, counseling,
credit and assistance in business development.

The women also heard an entrepreneurial success story from a member of the
Ger community.
**
There was great enthusiasm in the room.

Over one hundred women enrolled in entrepreneurial courses and other
services.

Each participant has the potential to be the next entrepreneurial success.
**
This is the secret of success in the ultra-orthodox community: working
quietly, in partnership and with good will.

We will continue to do just that.
**
I want to thank all the organizers of the conference and each of the
participants!

November 24 at 8:32pm ·

So the crisis has been postponed to next week.

I was starting to get worried that I would not be able to open the first
Israeli entrepreneurship center in Shanghai, sign a cooperation agreement
with the Governor of Jiangsu Mr. Li Xueyong, open a joint Chinese-Israeli
seminar on the topic of water technology in Nanjing where 15 Israeli
companies and dozens of Chinese companies will participate, meet the
management of Suning (a company with 180,000 employees), have a marathon of
interviews with China's economic media, meet top Shanghai Municipality
officials, meet top Chinese companies and venture capitalist investors to
sell them on the Israeli market, lecture to students at the prestigious
CEIBS university about the ‘start-up nation’, launch an Israeli agricultural
project on the farms of the Fujian Province, meet the governor of the
province, and promote a conference advancing Agritech - the 19th
International Agricultural Exhibition and Conference that will take place in
Israel next year.

Now I can.

Robin Li is the "Mark Zuckerberg " of China.

He is the founder of Bai-Du, the largest search engine company in China,
with 40,000 employees and a market value of $85(!) Billion.

He has never visited Israel.
After a warm meeting, I invited him to Israel and he accepted.

He has decided to visit Israel with the management team of Bai-Du.
