Israel removes military checkpoint in Qalqiliya

QALQILIYA (Ma'an) -- Israeli military authorities removed a checkpoint and
southern gate of the separation wall in southern Azzun Atma village in
southern Qalqiliya on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces shut the southern part of the Aber al-Samira road
that separates Azzun Atma in two parts after they opened a street connecting
Alqana, Etz Efraim and Shaare Tiqva settlements nearby.

By removing the checkpoint, the village is no longer split into two parts.
