2015 Tel Aviv Beach Season Opens

9 million visitors expected at Nonstop City beaches as Tel Aviv is
recognized by National Geographic as one of the World's Top 10 Beach Cities

Tel Aviv Beach season begins today, April 20th and continues until October
12th 2015.

This year's Tel Aviv beachgoers will be able to enjoy not only full life
guard and first aid services, but also games of chess and checkers with
board games freely distributed to those relaxing in the sun. Also available
to the public are the portable coastal libraries stocked with books for
readers of all ages.

Lifeguard and first aid services will be provided at the following beaches:
Hatzuk North > Hatzuk South (first aid assistance shared with Hatzuk North
Beach) > Tel-Baruch > Metzitzim (first aid assistance shared with Separated
Beach) > Separated Beach > Hilton > Gordon > Frishman > Bugrashov (the
opening of the station will be delayed due to construction work) > Aviv >
Jerusalem > Charles Clore > Givat Aliya

Lifeguard Station Hours

April 20th – May 31st: 07:15-16:45
June : 07:15-17:45
July – August: 07:15-18:45
September 1st – October 12th: 07:15-16:45

Supervision and maintenance services will be given at all beaches from
07:00 - evening hours.

Beachgoers must obey the instructions of lifeguards and inspectors and may
swim only at designated beaches that are manned by lifeguards. Swimming in
unsupervised beaches is dangerous and strictly prohibited.

In the upcoming beach season, a total of 9 million visitors are expected to
enjoy Tel Aviv's beaches, spanning 13.5 km from its northern to its southern
border in Bat Yam. Millions of bathers will be able to benefit from the
renovations on the boardwalk between Frishman and Gordon beaches.

Additional information about Tel Aviv beaches:

This year beachgoers will be able to borrow chess and checker boards.

This year will feature a Beach Library project. There will be four library
stations for bathers: Jerusalem Beach, Gordon Beach, Mezizim Beach and
HaTzuk North Beach.

Tel-Net Wi-Fi will provide wireless internet usage for bathers at the
beaches.

Currently, all beaches are wheelchair accessible.

All beaches will include changing rooms, public gym equipment, cleaning
facilities and first aid services as well as volleyball courts.

Emergency rescue teams are available for 24 hour response.

There will be dog-friendly beaches, where dogs are permitted to be without a
leash, but only under supervision: south of Tel Baruch beach, north of the
Hilton beach and south of the Charles Clore beach.

Cleaning services for the beach season will be provided from 1:00 - 6:00
every night.

During the 2015 Tel Aviv Beach Season, three teams of municipal inspectors
will be available to ensure public safety, whether medical emergency, public
health, vandalism or violence. Response will be rapid and based on leads
from those located on the beach. Tours will take place on the Tel Aviv
Boardwalk, Tel Baruch Compound and Cliff Beach.

Three municipal inspection teams will work to maintain the beaches at night
to ensure public safety and order
