Tehran, May 28, IRNA - The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to continue
despatching humanintarian relief aid to the war-hit people of Yemen, Deputy
Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told his
Djiboutian counterpart Mahamoud Ali Youssouf.

The two officials met on Thursday on the sidelines of the 42nd Session of
the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Kuwait during which they discussed
ways of assisting the Yemeni people in the wake of the Saudi-led military
aggression.

Amir-Abdollahian thanked Djibouti officials for facilitating despatching of
Iran's humanitarian packages to Yemen and stressed Iran's proposal to secure
a political solution to the crisis.

Youssouf, for his part, said the ports of his country are capable of
receiving and sending Iran's relief aid to the impoverished people of Yemen.

Saying that Djibouti is hosting 20,000 Yemeni refugees fleeing from
bombardments, he said the international assistance has been insufficient and
called for prompt attention of the responsible bodies to save the lives of
Yemenis in their country and in Djibouti.

The Iranian deputy foreign minister left Kuwait for Tehran, after the
meeting.
