TEHRAN (FNA)- Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem in a
meeting with Head of Tehran City Council Mehdi Chamran underlined that the
Lebanese resistance group feels honored by its relations with Iran.

"Hezbollah is honored by its relations with Iran and its Supreme Leader Imam
(Ayatollah Seyed Ali) Khamenei and believes that the news heard of the
resistance's victories are all blessings of these ties," Naim Qassem said
during the meeting in Beirut on Thursday.

He underlined that if the regional states understood the importance of
Iran's role in the establishment of stability and growth in the region and
prevention of threats, Tehran would complete its constructive role in
helping the nations and the resistance front to free Palestine from the
Zionists' occupation.

Naim Qassem said that the world powers have no other option but to hold
talks with Iran due to the country's key role and position.

Tehran and Hezbollah have forged a strong alliance after the victory of the
Islamic Revolution in Iran.

In a relevant development in April, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza
Sarmadi and Hezbollah Leader Seyed Hassan Nasrallah conferred on the latest
regional developments, specially in the crisis-hit Yemen.

Sarmadi and Nasrallah exchanged views on various regional developments,
including the current situation in Yemen and Iran nuclear talks.
