PM Netanyahu Receives Hudson Institute Herman Kahn Prize

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara, last night (EDT;
Thursday, 22 September 2016), in New York, attended a special event in which
the Hudson Institute awarded the former its 2016 Herman Kahn Prize in
appreciation for his leadership and the achievements to which he has led the
State of Israel.
Prime Minister Netanyahu discussed his policies vis-Ã -vis socio-economic and
foreign policy issues. He said that there was no alternative to Israel's
great alliance with the United States, which is based on shared values. He
added that, at the same time, Israel was working to strengthen its standing
in the international arena and said that it was working so that the
automatic majority against Israel in the UN would disappear. The Prime
Minister noted that the strength of Israel lay in its abiding faith and said
that its situation was strengthening thanks to its strength and its
knowledge. He declared that in the Middle East one makes peace with the
strong and pointed out that Israel was strengthening daily. He predicted
that in the end modernity would defeat radical Islam.
