HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces imposed a
curfew in the village of Taffuh in the southern occupied West Bank district
of Hebron on Wednesday night, after a large family dispute left four people
wounded.

Palestinian police detained at least 39 Taffuh residents involved in the
fight, which erupted overnight and lasted until dawn, culminating with the
village’s municipality building being set on fire.

Civil defense crews put out the fire, while four Palestinians were wounded,
with injuries reported to range between light and moderate.

Palestinian police spokesman Luay Irzeiqat said the curfew was imposed upon
request of the Hebron Governor Kamel Hmeid in order to maintain public
safety and protect public and private property.
