Weekly Commentary: Is President Trump Making Case For Attacking N. Korea If
Diplomacy Fails?

President Trump is well aware that if he fails to de-nuke North Korea that
the next president may opt to engage in wishful thinking regarding the
consequences of North Korea being armed with an ever growing arsenal of
nukes along with an ever growing capability to effectively target the United
States with them.

Should Mr. Trump's efforts to de-nuke North Korea by peaceful means fail,
only extreme measures could possibly complete this task during his term.

President Trump is exhausting the diplomacy option by so publicly bending
over backwards in his efforts to cajole North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to
de-nuke.

Is it possible that Mr. Trump is intentionally preparing the American public
to ultimately accept the necessity of implementing very costly extreme
measures should diplomacy fails?
