Weekly Commentary: Israel's Demographic Problem Requires Annexing Area C

This Wednesday's edition of The Marker (the business publication of Haaretz)
features an article warning that Israel faces a severe "demographic
problem".

No. it isn't that the Arabs are going to outnumber the Jews.

Its that the Jews have so many babies!

Technion Prof. Ruth Alterman projects that by 2050 there's going to be 18
million Israelis.

And when you take into account that most of the Negev is needed for
non-residential use, 98% of these Israelis are going to squeeze into tightly
packed apartment towers.

Where is there land that can make an important contribution to relieving
this pressure?

That's right.

The mostly EMPTY Area C.

Yes.

For years the Left has argued that we cannot annex territory because of the
"demographic problem".

The truth is we NEED to annex Area C in order to help SOLVE Israel's true
demographic problem (or "blessing"?).
