Naftali Bennett: Don't Kill Your Parents By Joining Their Seder
Translation by IMRA of message distributed on 7 April 2020
Friends,
Unfortunately, I've heard of quite a few guys who are going to go to their
parents for the Passover Seder.
Bachelors or young families with small children.
If you do this you could kill your parents. Just like that.
Stop!
No tricks and no games will help.
Not sitting 5 meters away. Not wearing masks. Nothing.
The corona virus survives on surfaces for hours and days.
If you accidentally touch the faucet, use the toilet or touch the chair.
The next day Grandma touches it and contracts the virus. After 6-7 days she
is hospitalized for respiratory intensive care, and then, forefend, she
dies.
Here are the facts.
Of the first 50 Israelis who died, this is the distribution of the deceased:
Age 0-39: Zero dead.
Age 40-59: Two dead.
Age 60+: 48 (!) Dead.
Corona kills older people.
So,
Hold the Passover Seder in your home and love Grandpa and Grandma from a
distance.
We in the Bennett family will hold a family Zoom Seder before the holiday
begins.
There are lots of lovely options.
What a wonderful People we have!
Surely if we survived Pharaoh, we will also survive Corona.
I am counting on you.
Kosher safe and happy Passover!
Naftali Bennett
