Observation: Not the time for American silence after Arab rioters throw
rocks and rebar at Western Wall Plaza from Temple Mount

Here are the facts:

#1. Arab Moslem rioters this morning threw rocks and rebar from the Temple
Mount (aka courtyard of the al Aqsa mosque) down onto the Western Wall Plaza
where Jews pray.

#2. Arab Moslem guards employed by the Waqf declined to stop the Arab Moslem
rioters.

#3. Earlier that day the Arab Moslem guards declined to prevent these Arab
Moslem rioters from turning the al Aqsa Mosque itself into a staging area
where rocks, rebar etc. was stored in preparation for the rioting.

#4. The activity in preparation for the rioting which took place inside al
Aqsa Mosque was NOT observed on closed circuit TV because the Jordanian
authorities bowed to Palestinian demands that there be no cameras inside the
al Aqsa Mosque ostensibly on religious grounds. This while there is a live
feed available for the world to see both from Mecca and Medina - the two
holiest places of Islam.

#5. In order to put an end to the rioting which endangered anyone at the
Western Wall Plaza, Israeli security forces went into the al Aqsa Mosque and
detained hundred of rioters.

#6. With the rioters detained, 50,000 Arab Moslems prayed at al Aqsa mosque
without incident in the next round of prayers.

#7. This incident has been termed an Israeli assault on al Aqsa and Arab
Moslems praying in al Aqsa.

#8. None of those criticizing Israel suggest what they consider to be an
acceptable way to provide for the safety of Jews at the Western Wall Plaza.

The Biden administration now has several options:

#1. Ignore the incident.

#2. Call for calm on both sides = basically accept the narrative that it is
wrong to protect Jews.

#3. Condemn the rioters and express satisfaction that the overwhelming
majority of Arab Moslems want to peacefully engage in prayer as evidenced by
the 50,000 who did just that hours after Israeli police arrested the
rioters.

Today the Israeli security forces made history by opting to arrest the
rioters en masse to put an end to the incident in a way that made it
possible for the cycle of prayers to continue without the interference of
the rioters.

This is now Mr. Biden's opportunity to also make history by taking a clear
and unequivocal stand in favor of peaceful and secure prayer.
