US Envoy Greenblatt Ignores Netanyahu's Call - Adopts 3-Monkey Approach to

In the wake of the murder of Hadas Malka by three Palestinian terrorists
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu issued a "call on the countries of the
world to condemn both the murder and those who
praise it." Mr. Netanyahu emphasized that "Fatah – which is headed by Abu
Mazen – praised the murderers as heroes..."

Rather than "condemn both the murder and those who praise it" US envoy
Greenblatt strictly limited himself to condemnation of the murder ("This
violence is intolerable!”).

In fact, instead of condemning Fatah, Greenblatt added the neutral remark
that "[I]ncidents such as this underscore why it is vital to realize
President Trump’s vision of a Middle East free from the threats of terrorism
and extremism.”

Greenblatt's approach is in line with the traditional American "3-Monkey
Approach" (see no evil, hear no evil...) towards the Palestinian leadership.

It serves as an important warning to Israel that the Jewish State cannot
rely on the American perception or interpretation of reality either during
the course of negotiations or within the framework of any arrangements.
