The following are the results of a poll of a representative sample of 606
adult Israelis (including Israeli Arabs) carried out by New Wave for Ma'ariv
on the week of 8 August 2003. (Survey error +/- 4 percentage points.

Are you satisfied with the performance of prime minister Ariel Sharon in
general?
Yes 43%No 42% Don't know 15%

Is Ariel Sharon the best prime minister for the time or would you prefer
someone else to serve as prime minister in his place?

The son of the prime minister, Gilad Sharon, was recently interrogated by
the police yet used his right to remain silent and refused to produce
documents. Does he have the right to do this on matters relating to the
prime minister?
