Poll of Israelis: 60.4% support liquidating Selah Shehade even after
civilians died in the operation

The following is IMRA's translation of the results of a telephone poll of
511 adult Israelis (including Israeli Arabs) carried out by Shevakim
Panorama for Israel Radio's "Another Matter" program on 24 July 2002.
Survey error +/- 4.5 percentage points.

After the fact, in light of the deaths of civilians and children in the
operation to liquidate Selah Shehade in Gaza, was the decision to carry out
the operation:
Justified 60.4% Unjustified 30.8% No reply 8.8%

Was it correct to liquidate Selah Shehade in Gaza in the middle of efforts
to reach an agreement with Hamas and other terror organizations for a halt
to the attacks?
Correct decision 70.2% Incorrect 21.2% No reply 8.6%

Do you support or oppose the intentions of the security system to banish the
families of terrorists who carried out attacks to the Gaza Strip?

Did the Tal Law that deals with giving yeshiva students a draft deferment
get the support of the majority of the Knesset:
67.1% Out of purely political and coalition considerations
19.0% Due to relevant considerations meant to reduce the polarization of

In light of the dispute between the Ministry of the Treasury the Ministry of
Defense, should the budget of the Ministry of Defense be cut?
