Damascus Syria Arab Republic Radio in Arabic, official station of the Syrian
Government, carries on 30 August 2002 at 0942 GMT a live sermon from
Al-Murabit mosque in Al-Muhajirin quarter of Damascus.

Shaykh Dr. Ihsan Ba'darani delivers the sermon....

The imam devotes the second part of the sermon to prayer. He prays deeply to
God to end "the tribulations" of Muslims everywhere and the brothers in
Palestine. He prays: "O God, deal with the Jews for they are within your
power. O God, make fate turn against them. O God, we ask you to make us,
Arabs and Muslims, rulers and ruled, sincere and truthful."
