DAMASCUS, Sept. 04 (SANA-Official Syrian News Agency)

Expatriates Minister, Nasser Qaddour received here Wednesday a delegation
representing Syrian Arab Expatriates Association in Romania headed by Eng.
Ghiyath Mesallatti.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the situation of the Syrian community in
Romania and the necessity of their contact with motherland Syria to
strengthen friendship bridges between the two peoples.

Qaddour underlined the importance of the community unity indicating the role
played by the Syrian communities in countries of immigration.

For his part, Mesallatti expressed Syrian community's pleasure over creating
Expatriates Ministry in Syria underlining the main tasks of the expatriates,
namely putting their capabilities and efforts at the service of the
motherland, Syria.

Messallati briefed the minister on the association activities in Romania,
basically the attempts to find a location for the association and issuing a
quarterly magazine with the aim of strengthening friendship between the two
people and defending our nation's just causes.
