The following are the results of a Ma'ariv poll by "New Wave" (a new polling
company formed by Yaacov Levy, the founder of the now defunct Gallup Israel)
of a representative sample of 515 registered Likud members carried out
Thursday night, 21 November. Statistical error +/- 4.5 percentage points.

Sharon 47% Netanyahu 30.9%
Who better represents the ideology of the Likud? Sharon 43.5% Netanyahu 39%
Who will bring more Knesset seats for the Likud? Sharon 58.1% Netanyahu
24.2%

into Knesset seats, how the "undecided" were distributed between parties and
how partial sets were allocated. It should be noted that a error of +/- 4.5
percentage points is equal to an error of +/- 5.4 seats.]

The following are the results of a poll of registered Likud voters carried
out by the Institute for Social Studies - Bar Ilan University on Thursday 21
November:

Sharon 41% Netanyahu 34% Undecided 25%

Do you oppose or support a Palestinian state?
Support 11% Oppose 82% No reply 7%

The following are the results of a poll of a representative sample of adult
Israelis (including Israeli Arabs) carried out on 19 November 19 and 20 by
the Smith Institute.

A month ago the IDF left Hebron under the orders of the then Minister of
Defense, Binyamin Ben Eliezer. Did the withdrawal from Hebron took place
for political or security purposes?
Political 55% Security 28% No opinion 17%

[IMRA: In fairness, the question did not mention Ariel Sharon, whose
approved the withdrawal before its implementation.]
