Jordanian Sermon calls for God's help to defeat Israel and return of Al-Aqsa

was broadcast prior to the visit of the King of Jordan to Washington where
he was praised for his contribution to peace.]

Amman Jordan Television Channel 1 in Arabic, official television station
of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, at 0945 GMT on 28 November 2003 carries
a 24-minute live sermon from martyr King Abdallah mosque in Amman.

Shaykh Muhammad Khayr al-Isa delivers the sermon. After praising God,
the messenger, and his companions, he says that Almighty God has revealed
the Koran to guide humanity to the right path. He warns against explaining
scientific issues based on the Koran, stressing that the Koran is not a book
of "medicine or physics." The imam devotes his two sermons to "the
greatness" of the Koran as a book intended "to guide humanity."

Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, give success to Muslims all
over the world. O God, support mujahidin everywhere. O God, have mercy
on our kinfolk in Palestine. O God, strengthen them in their homeland. O
God, help them defeat their enemy. O God, return Al-Aqsa Mosque to Islam."
