Official Shinui Website Warns Against Unilateral Withdrawal

The official Hebrew website of the Shinui Party still includes material
prepared for their election campaign that takes a strong position against
unilateral withdrawal. Shinui received its mandate from its public based on
this position.

The following is IMRA's translation of the relevant portion:

"Unilateral Withdrawal?

We will not withdraw without an agreement, since the Palestinians would
interpret this as a victory for terror that would invite the continuation of
terror from the point we withdraw from. If the terror stops we will
evacuate from the territory that we entered in order to rout the terror.

What is your position regarding the settlements?

Illegal outposts must be evacuated immediately. As part of the peace
arrangements, Israel will also have to leave settlements scattered in the
heart of Palestinian populations. The large settlement blocs along the Green
Line will be integrated within Israel's borders. It will be necessary to
carry out specific negotiations regarding a number of large settlements that
are not part of these blocs."
