Grenade accident kills Palestinian in Gaza City

Gaza, Feb. 16, SPA -- A hand grenade exploded in an apartment house in Gaza
City early Monday evening, killing a young Palestinian man and injuring his
mother and sister, witnesses and medical officials said.

The witnesses said the young man, believed to be a member of one of the
militant organizations, was handling the grenade when it went off.

Residents had initially thought the explosion was caused by a missile fired
by an Israeli helicopter which was flying overhead at the time.
