PCPO Poll of Palestinians 24-28 February, 2004

A poll carried out by the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion (PCPO) and
Prepared by President
Dr.Nabil Kukali.

· (74.4%) Evaluate the general economical conditions in the
Palestinian territories as bad.
· (72.7%) Worried to varying degrees for their means of subsistence.
· (74.1%) Believe that the PA is incapable of creating job
opportunities for the Palestinians workers in Israel.

A poll recently conducted by the PCPO and prepared by Dr. Nabil Kukali,
included a random sample of (540) Palestinian adults, 18 years and older,
from the Palestinian territories.
The poll reveals that (74.4%) of Palestinians evaluate the general
economical condition in the Palestinian territories as bad, while (20.3%)
evaluate it fair, (1.7%) good, and (3.6%) express no opinion.

President of the PCPO, Dr. Nabil Kukali, stated that the poll took place
24-28 February, 2004 and the average age of the respondents was (31.5)
years, and the margin of error was( 4.22+/-)percent points.
Kukali also stated that the percentage of female respondents was (47.4%)
while that of the male ones was (52.6%). He pointed out to the average size
of respondents' families that was (7.1) persons.

Dr.Kukali said the results of the poll were as follows:
