Syria and Pakistan -cooperation in economic, trade and scientific fields

Syria and Pakistan have stressed mutual keenness on enhancing the standing
relations of cooperation in economic, trade and scientific fields.

Prime Minister Mohammed Naji Ottri and Pakistani Deputy Foreign Minister
Shawkat Saed on Wednesday discussed the current situation in the region,
particularly in Palestine and in Iraq.

The two sides asserted the importance of exerting all efforts to achieve
just and comprehensive peace in the region based on the international
legitimacy resolutions.

For his part, Saed who is currently on a visit to Syria, expressed his
country's support to Syria's national stance and just causes.

Earlier, the Pakistani official and Education Minister Ali Sa'd discussed
prospects of educational and cultural cooperation between the two countries
and means of enhancing them.

They stressed the importance of the deep-rooted relations between both
countries, asserting the necessity of exchanging expertise in the
educational fields in the interest of the two friendly countries.
