[IMRA: Consider the increase in the weight of the
explosives (by over a factor of 20) and range (over a
factor of 3) and it doesn't require much vision to
project what the Palestinians will be shooting into
Ashdod Port and other strategic locations within a
short time after Prime Minister Sharon's slated
retreat. Mr. Sharon rameins confident that Israel will
be able to respond to such attacks will full force and
without restraint regardless of what entity and what
international human shields and diplomatic conditions
exist after the retreat. It reamins unclear how much
thinking has actually gone into his assertion.]

Terror organizations are creating a new strategic
means of war against the State of Israel in order to
kill civilians. The IDF and security forces are
working assertively via sea, air and land to prevent
the ability of the firing of kassam rockets into
Israeli territory. These means of terror are being
made and launched from the Gaza Strip by terrorist
organizations in support from international terrorism.

Statistics of Kassam rockets launchings since 29
September 2000:

Over 300 Kassam rockets launched into Israeli
territory of which of 70 landed in the city of Sderot.
This year 19 landed in Sderot claiming two civilan
lives.
[IMRA: CUriously, the article does not present data on
attacks on civilian Israeli targets within the Gaza
Strip]

previous month that have destroyed the capabilities of
