Telephone poll carried out by "Brain Base" ["Maagar Mochot"] of a
representative sample of over 535 adult Israelis (including Israeli Arabs)
under the direction of Prof. Y.Katz for the Israeli television program
"Reshet in the Morning" program on 27 October 2004:

In light of the confirmation of the disengagement plan last night by the
Knesset, who do you think won in battle between prime minister Ariel Sharon
and finance ministry Binyamin Netanyahu?
Total: Sharon 65% Netanyahu 11%Other 24%
Likud members: Sharon 55% Netanyahu 22%Other 23%
Likud voters: Sharon 52% Netanyahu 28%Other 20%

Finance minister Binyamin Netanyahu and minister of education Limor Livnat
announced last night that if after two weeks the prime minister continues to
object to a national referendum they (Netanyahu and Livnat) will quit the
government. If prime minister Sharon continues to object to a national
referendum do you think that Binyamin Netanyahu will quit the government?
