The National Security Council Counter-Terrorism HQ
() has issued the following statement today
(Thursday), 24.11.05:
"Recently, there has been an increase in terrorists' threats to kidnap
Israeli citizens abroad. The NSC Counter-Terrorism HQ underscores its
warning to Israeli citizens and recommends that Israelis abroad be
especially cautious: 1) Avoid visiting or staying in Arab countries (except
Mauritania and the Comoro Islands) and other countries for which there are
travel warnings; 2) Reject tempting and/or unexpected foreign business
offers; 3) Refuse to accept unexpected gifts and invitations for free
holidays from suspect or unfamiliar elements; and 4) Reject invitations to
unexpected meetings from unfamiliar elements in remote or isolated places,
especially at night."
