IDF SPOKESPERSON ANNOUNCEMENT

IDF targets Hamas cell in the northern Gaza Strip

The IDF carried out an aerial attack against a vehicle carrying a Hamas
terror cell in the northern Gaza Strip this evening July 9th 2006.

The cell was transporting a large amount of explosives which detonated
inside the vehicle following the IDF attack.

The IDF will continue to act with determination against terrorist
organizations and terror infrastructure in order to create the conditions
for the return of Cpl. Gilad Shalit and to stop terror attacks and the
launching of rockets towards Israel.
